What ranked is for

Ranked solos, duos, and trios are where token income and the 1.4x XP multiplier are described. Casual is where you learn a string without the loss mattering. Training is where you check a launcher. Do not start ranked to test whether uptilt is Right Click + Left Click.

A ranked win is the reliable 5-token payout in both progression guides. One guide adds 1 token per kill on a loss. Season-end notes add 500 cash and 50 tokens per rank above bronze. Recheck the season screen after Update 14 before you plan a whole split around that payout.

Starter advice, with the disagreement left visible

October 2026 combat notes suggest Soul Society Ichigo for simple neutral, Deku for damage and crowds, Namek Goku for projectiles, early Luffy for reach and an aerial grab, and Tanjiro or Jonathan as viable with more specific habits. Pre-Time Skip Naruto is called out for multi-input branches such as 1+2, 1+3, and 1+4.

A July-framed roster guide instead calls Tanjiro the safest first pick in every queue size, with Naruto and Luffy favored in teams. The October 18, 2026 1v1 table later places Tanjiro in B, base Luffy and base Goku in B, Soul Society Ichigo in B, and Deku in C. Use the table as a 1v1 kit snapshot, not as an order to abandon a fighter you understand. Team modes are not that table.

If your free trio includes someone you will replay for the 5 Saitama wins, take them. Buying the other six at the published 1,000 cash price is cheaper than buying 2,000 cash fighters first.

A ranked session that is not a coin flip

  1. Warm up one combo that ends before they need to evasive, and one combo you use only after they spend R.
  2. Queue the mode you can fill. A missing partner makes duos and trios a different game.
  3. Track Spirit Unleashed. When an ally is down, your super armor can become hyper armor and your damage goes up. Play the life lead, not a highlight.
  4. Count Ultra armor if you still see the vermillion blink. Grabs do not stun it, according to the Update 11 note.
  5. Stop the set when you are pressing R on every poke. That is a practice problem, not a character problem.

Saitama's win counter is per fighter. Five wins on Tanjiro do not move Goku's counter. Write the seven names down.

After the match

Put tokens into Yuji or Guts before Shinra unless you want Shinra's kit specifically. Put cash into missing Saitama-quest fighters before a 2,000 cash purchase. Star a skin only after the match, from the Characters tab.

The October 16, 2026 event card features Grimmjow against Ulquiorra under Update 14 [Espadas]. If your main is either of them, reread their pages and then check training. The event title is not a full patch note.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Shonen Unleashed have working codes?

No. The experience page does not list a code key, and guides through 2026 say the developers have not shipped a promo-code box. Strings circulating online are not reward codes for this game.

How do you awaken and use an ultimate?

Press G when the blue awakening meter is full. Press T when the pink ultimate meter is full. Both defaults are on the Roblox experience page and can be changed in Settings.

How do you uptilt?

On PC, press Right Click and Left Click together. Settings can remap the launcher, and combat notes say Space is a common remap. The move launches a grounded opponent.

The first clear awards the Unleash your Shonen badge and 500 cash. If the guided mode fails to load, open Training from the menu, or use Goku in the hub, and practice in the Time Chamber.

How do you unlock Saitama?

Win 5 ranked matches on each of Goku, Luffy, Naruto, Tanjiro, Jonathan, Izuku Midoriya, and Ichigo. He is not a cash or token purchase.
